- Melissa Woods, Owner and Founder
Melissa has almost two decades of cooking experience for friends, family, and clients. Her background includes cooking, finance, computer technology, and marketing communications. She started this company part-time in June of 1996 and transitioned to full-time in June of 1998. Currently, the client base for Menu By Melissa has grown to more than 200 households.
She is absolutely delighted to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Menu By Melissa this year.
She learned the love of cooking at the age of four from her great-grandmother who taught her to make "real" pie crust and buttermilk biscuits. And she has been in the culinary arts business since the age of 16 with a slight eight-year detour of duty to Corporate America.
Melissa truly enjoys her work and loves to share a little bit of happiness with clients every day. She is a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and proud to be a board member of The Charlotte Business Guild and on the advisory board of The Friends of Music at Queens University of Charlotte. She volunteers for the American Red Cross.
Ann Hoskins is currently on sabbatical from Menu By Melissa and living in Richmond, Virginia. She hopes to return to the staff by the fourth quarter of 2008.
Ann Hoskins is a trained commercial artist and professional chef with over 20 years of culinary experience. Before joining Menu By Melissa full-time in August of 1999, she was the kitchen manager and chef at The Tarpon Turtle Inn and Resort in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
She enjoys sewing and spending time with her new grand-daughter, Elizabeth Grace.
